We are pleased to continue to collaborate with many partners last month to share the story of Upcycling textile waste, providing alternatives to single-use plastic products in important partner activities: - ASPBAE Regional Strategic Planning Workshop and 60th Anniversary Celebration in Da Nang, Vietnam. The event was organized by ASPBAE Education Association and its member - VAEFA Association. At this event, we provided 120 recycled bags for the Organizing Committee to give as gifts to delegates attending the Workshop. The sisters in the CORMIS Upcycling group also came to participate and share about the Waste Upcycling Program, the upcycling process to make 120 bags for the delegates. We are pleased to have received very positive feedback from the Organizing Committee and all delegates about these special up-cycled bags. - Workshop on Promoting Reuse, towards Circular Economy in the Tourism Sector in Vietnam. The event was organized by REED Co., Ltd., Pacific Environment Organization Vietnam (PE-VN) and Refillables Dong Day Enterprise, with support from DietPlastik Indonesia and the National Plastic Action Partnership Program (NPAP) in Vietnam. At this event, we provided banners for the workshop made from used white fabric; bags as gifts for delegates and water bottle covers. Upcycled products of disabled people were also displayed and introduced to delegates attending this event. All products provided for these events were upcycled from used white cotton fabric but still of very good quality. Fabrics provided by Melia Vinpearl Riverfront Danang in 2024. We thank all partners for their cooperation so that we can reduce more waste, especially the use of single-use plastic products through innovative and meaningful upcycling and reuse solutions.
