If you look at our Facebook page, you will see many positive images of people with disabilities participating in CORMIS Programs. Those images show that they are not victims, not people just waiting to receive help from others in the community. Instead, they are confident; living happily, healthily and even contributing to the common values of the community like many other people without disabilities. One time, Ms. Be, one of the members of the Fabric Waste Upcycling Program shared to us that: her friend (also a disabled person) was surprised and asked her how she could play with non-disabled friends in such a natural way/no hesitation/no barrier at all? Does that also clearly show the level of confidence and inclusion of her and other disabled members? We have been working with our brothers and sisters with disabilities every day, learning with them, playing with them, thinking with them. It is not an easy journey because the projects we do together are quite "unique and difficult" but all are truly meaningful and valuable to the community. These projects are in deed not easy for even non-disabled people to do. Working with disabled brothers and sisters in many different regions, different cultures, different religions, and different life perspectives, we will surely have more challenges. But perhaps, beyond all barriers, with a true desire to create an inclusive working environment; nourishing and promoting each person's full potential; we have accompanied each other year after year and created positive changes. We want to express our sincere gratitude to our disabled brothers and sisters for believing and patiently accompanying us. And we also want to thank you a great deal our dear partners, friends, domestic and international students for participating in our Programs to create many positive changes for people with disabilities and the whole community. Finally, wishing all our brothers and sisters with disabilities a very happy, meaningful day and don’t forget to always shine with the way you are doing to inspire other people in the community. In gratitude and with lots of love CORMIS team
